Released in July 2019, NorCyana is a dry red Norton aged in bourbon whiskey oak barrels for 18 months. The result is a big bold red with prominent bourbon, oak, and blackberry blossom aroma. Notes of black cherry and blackberry lead to a hint of black pepper and tannin on the finish. The wine is a brilliant violet hue.
Pair this wine with steak, brisket, burgers on the grill with blue cheese, grilled or roasted portobello mushrooms, duck with a cherry bourbon reduction sauce, and pasta Bolognese. This wine will hold up to smoked meats and lamb. Try it with grilled or roasted vegetables dusted with fresh chopped rosemary and served on a bed of caramelized onions and rice pilaf.
