Tasting Room Team Member

​The tasting room team member is part of the team responsible for the guest experience.  You will be the first impression of hospitality and warmth and will set the tone for the visit.
​
​
​Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests to the tasting room & and provide gracious hospitality.
• Pour wines and spirits for tastings, discuss wines & and answer questions as appropriate.
• Share the history of the property and facility
• Routine point-of-sale transactions (cash register, logging tasting room bottles, etc.)
• Enroll wine club members and ensure wine club members receive their benefits
• Light kitchen & bathroom cleaning duties
• Water plants & general patio upkeep
• Setup the patio for guests, events, and movies
• Promote Fence Stile and Nyx at every opportunity

​Qualifications:

• Must be 21+
• A strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation
• The ability to take direction and work independently.
• Friendly & outgoing
• Professional & neat appearance
• Flexible schedule (primary shifts are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and occasional Sundays)
• Sales, hospitality, or guest services experience preferred
• Wine knowledge is an asset
• Able to work at festivals and off-site events
• Must be able to carry 40lbs (cases of wine) up flights of stairs
• Pay will be dependent on experience and skill set.
• Must pass a background check

Vineyard and Facility Team member
​A vineyard and facility crew member is part of a team responsible for performing routine tasks required to maintain and care for grape vines working in all vineyard operations throughout the life cycle of the vine.
​
​Responsibilities:

• Winter pruning
• Spring suckering and thinning
• Summer vine care through the growing season
• Fall harvest and post harvest care for the vines
• Weed management using cultivation and hand weeding around the base of the vines
• Yard and parking lot maintenance
• Water plants & general patio upkeep
• Crush pad team member during harvest
• Facility maintenance under the guidance and direction of the facility manager
• Promote Fence Stile and Nyx at every opportunity

​Qualifications:

• Must be 21+
• A strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation
• The ability to take direction and work independently.
• Be able to stand/kneel for long periods.
• Be fit, able to lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs
• The ability to work outside in all kinds of weather and conditions.
• Days of work and daily start times can vary depending on the weather and seasonality but will typically be weekdays with weekend work during harvest
• Yard or field experience preferred
• Must be able to follow all safety protocols.
• Have an interest in learning about plants and how to properly grow quality wine grapes.
• General experience with hand tools, and lawn care equipment.
• Pay will be dependent on experience and skill set.
• Must pass a background check

Event Marketing and Coordination Associate
​The event marketing and coordination associate is driving the marketing, planning, organizing and executing of various events targeting private, corporate, eco-tourism and education events.

Responsibilities:

• Marketing, planning, organizing, and execution of events.
• Logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and follow-up.
• Ensure facilities and operations are aligned for any events.
• Partner, vendor, and supplier management.
• Tracking and reporting on events, monthly and yearly financials, and planning for continuous improvement and positive movement.
• Share the history of the property and facility.
• Networking and building long-term guest and industry relationships.
• Collaborate with the full team to grow Fence Stile and Nyx.
• Promote Fence Stile and Nyx at every opportunity.

• The ability to take direction and work independently.

• Professional & neat appearance
• Sales, hospitality, or guest services experience
• Wine knowledge is an asset
• Excellent professional communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation, ability to problem-solve
• Able to work events which may be evenings or weekends
• Must be able to carry 40lbs (cases of wine) up flights of stairs
• Pay will be dependent on experience and skill set and will include a bonus or event incentive.
• Must pass a background check
